Nathan Cyprys writes about his project 'Neighbour State', "a series of American landscapes, strives to reveal the idiosynchracies of American life through destinations between cities. These are often the places one finds rest at, or passes through during an extended drive, often taking little notice of what lies hidden through a maze of rural roads just beyond the interstate. These are farms, tourist attractions, condemned homes and affordable motels. Yet, these are ultimately captured from a Canadian perspective, as I become a tourist upon crossing the border."
